On 10th February 2023, Atlantis The Royal, the latest addition to the iconic Atlantis brand, had its grand opening, which lasted over three days.
The ultra-luxury resort prepared an itinerary for exclusive selected guests that included performances by globally renowned artists, gastronomic delights crafted by Michelin-starred chefs, extravagant light displays, and other attractions. The highlight of the opening was an ultra-private show given by the superstar, Beyoncé.
Boasting a unique design, world-class amenities, and unparalleled experiences, Atlantis The Royal established itself as the most ultra-luxury experiential resort in the world. Crafted by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), a renowned global architectural firm celebrated for its pioneering and iconic creations, the structure’s exterior showcases an array of “SkyCourts” and “SkyPools,” establishing a dynamic and remarkable silhouette amidst the Dubai skyline.
Located in the heart of the Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis The Royal boasts 795 guest rooms and suites, as well as 231 luxury residences.

The first thing that catches everyone’s attention is the impressive walls with water and moving flames, a breathtaking introduction to the opulence that awaits within this legendary resort.

Mesmerizing aquariums are also part of the space, along with two transparent golden elevators that lead to the Michelin-star restaurant, offering a truly memorable entrance.

Throughout the day, the Royal Club Lounge offers a delectable selection of culinary delights exclusively for its guests. From gourmet breakfasts to afternoon tea and evening hors d’oeuvres, each dish is carefully crafted using the finest globally sourced ingredients. In the evenings from 6 to 8 pm, an elegant buffet is set up, featuring a changing selection of dishes. On our first evening, we enjoyed fresh oysters, caviar served on salmon blinis, fresh truffles, a variety of cheeses and cold cuts, and a made-to-order main course. The dessert selection was equally delicious. The experience was further enhanced by a free-flowing selection of top-quality wines, champagne, and cocktails.

Nobu, by the Beach
Nobu by the Beach comprises two distinct venues within Atlantis, The Royal: The Beach Club and The Restaurant. Both are open to external guests, and reservations can be made for either the restaurant or the beach club, or both.
The pool at Nobu by the beach is a stunning lagoon pool surrounded by numerous palm trees, with Atlantis, The Royal on one side, and views of the beach and skyline on the other. While some loungers are set up on the beach, most people prefer to stay around the pool. Here, there are several sun loungers, private double-day beds, and luxurious air-conditioned cabanas for those wishing to escape the heat.
You can enjoy your lunch by the pool or visit the Nobu By The Beach restaurant, which offers a menu showcasing Chef Nobu’s innovative fusion of traditional Japanese dishes with Peruvian influences.
From signature dishes like Black Cod Miso to Yellowtail Jalapeño, each creation tantalizes the palate with its harmonious blend of flavors and textures. Nobu aims to use the freshest, highest-quality ingredients sourced locally and globally. Estiatorio Milos offers vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean from the Greek islands and received an honorable mention in Dubai’s second edition of the Michelin 2023 guide. The restaurant combines simplicity and sophistication with family-style sharing dishes, the freshest catches of the day displayed on ice, and a raw bar offering a selection of oysters and raw fish options.
The expansive terrace provides one of the best views of the dazzling fountain show that occurs every half hour. It’s a relaxing spot for lunch and an even better spot at night as the fountains light up. Estiatorio Milos offers an unparalleled fusion of Greek cuisine in Dubai, accompanied by a breathtaking view.
ELEMENTS TERRACE
The lounge terrace features large, comfortable sunken seating as well as individual tables with enchanting views of the fire and water fountains at Atlantis the Royal. It’s the perfect spot for pre-or post-dinner drinks and shishas. They also offer a menu of small bites to enjoy. The atmosphere here is lively and we enjoyed beginning our evening there.
LA MAR BY GASTON ACURIO
La Mar by Gastón Acurio is known for its acclaimed cuisine crafted by Chef Gastón Acurio. The restaurant invites diners to explore the vibrant and diverse flavors of Peruvian gastronomy. Located against the backdrop of Palm Island and the Dubai skyline, the restaurant offers an atmospheric dining experience. Its contemporary design serves as the perfect canvas for showcasing La Mar’s signature cebiches, freshly grilled anticuchos, and specialty dishes and cocktails.
With a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, including a lively Cebiche bar, La Mar offers a distinctive culinary adventure. The menu features classic Peruvian dishes like Lomo Saltado and charcoal-braised whole fish, as well as traditional seafood ceviche. Guests are welcome to embark on an authentic voyage across Peru, savoring every bite with recipes passed down through generations. During Dubai’s second edition of the Michelin Guide, Tomislav Lokvicic, General Manager of La Mar, was honored with the Service of the Year award. Additionally, La Mar received an honorable mention in the 2023 guide, solidifying its status as an award-winning destination for Peruvian cuisine in Dubai.
